Former OKC bakeries Brown's, Ingrid's equipment up for grabs in auction

Are you a budding baker or culinarian, or maybe even a restaurant owner looking to grab some new equipment? Perhaps you're just sentimental and want to get a piece of what was left behind when Oklahoma City bakeries Brown's and Ingrid's closed up shop in the last several months? Well, Aug. 16 may be your lucky day.

Dakil Auctioneers, 200 NW 114 Street, will host an auction beginning at 9 a.m. featuring more than 300 lots of various items from the two iconic Oklahoma bakeries as well as other restaurants.

Most of the lots consist of kitchen equipment such as cake, muffin and sheet pans, mixing bowls and even cabinets display cases, and shelving, but there are also some higher ticket items including ovens, walk-in refrigerators and freezers, large mixers, proofing boxes and more.

If you or someone you know is into dessert decoration, you can bid on a lot that includes the Brown's Bakery Kopycake machine, a tool used to project images on cookies, cakes and more, and other cake decorating supplies including baubles, three-dimensional picks, images and designs.

The sale also includes other food service and miscellaneous items in the Dakil inventory, with the auction house even set to sell a food truck.
